This is the first of my new monthly newsletters to you. I invite you to experience
the healing power of flowers. Each month, I will share with you my findings, my travels, and the many ways
in which flower essences can uplift your spirit and create beauty in your life. |

This Month's Flower: Holly
We think of holly as a very prickly bush with red berries used in holiday garlands. Its roots go deep both
in the soil and in history. In Ancient Rome, it was exchanged as a symbol of health and happiness during the December
Festival of Saturnalia. In medieval times, Christians revered holly as the symbol of love and goodwill. An evergreen,
it symbolized life during the long barren winters and was carried by men as a good luck talisman. Holly water was
sprinkled on newborn babies for protection.
Holly is a revitalizing bloom, often used as an herbal remedy or ingested in teas. It has been used for arthritis,
gout, persistent coughs, bronchitis, and urinary infections. South Americans enjoy Yerba Mate, a tea produced from
a native species of holly, in gatherings to reaffirm friendships.
As a flower essence, holly opens the heart and united us with Divine Love. A holly tincture or spray is especially
beneficial to those that are overcome with jealousy, resentment and a lack of love in their lives. Incorporate
sprigs of fresh holly into your family gatherings this holiday season, and watch it open everyone to Divine Love,

 Living
in Gratitude
As we approach the holiday season, many emotions surface...the end of another year, a new list of resolutions,
holiday shopping, family gatherings. Even the change of seasons and the onset of colder weather affects our moods.
It is because of these factors that we must remember to live in gratitude, being thankful for all we have and all
the blessings that surround us. This is a time to reach out to others acknowledge their friendship, and their support.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone of you for being part of my circle of friends. I
am grateful for every gift of friendship and communication I receive from you, you truly make a difference in my
world. I am sure this holiday season will bring more joy as our perspective shifts to a positive direction;
then giving thanks and living in gratitude is effortless.
Flower essences harness the pure beauty and energy that can open new paths and create new ways of being.
My flower essence blends are formulated to instill balance and calm. My recommendations for this season are:
